The 2025 Spring Board of Directors Meeting of the Hubei Association was successfully held.
2025年3月3日（星期一）晚6时30分至9时，湖北同乡会理事会议在茶宝店（2245 Kennedy Rd Unit 5）举行。会议由会长韩明辉主持，韩明辉、杨申、王为、Jeff Luo、赵桂萍、韩丽、张春霞、王静华、陈志兵、徐媛媛、Luke周、张琨、Connie Chen、Scarlet等理事出席。
会议首先进行了理事间的自我介绍，并建议大家互加微信或电话方便联系，同时欢迎理事张琨的回归。
在活动筹备方面，理事会决定于2025年6月7日在Jeff Luo的庄园举办“夏日Barbecue”，预计参与人数为200至300人，采取Potluck形式，并计划通过不同级别赞助、抽奖及游戏等方式丰富活动和筹集资金。
会议还讨论了理事会成员的扩充计划。韩会长将联系原有老理事回归，并与湖北各大高校校友会建立联系，同时鼓励理事推荐新成员。
此外，会议决定明年举办春晚，具体筹备将在夏日活动结束后启动。今年9月还将组织一次理事团建活动，由杨申和Jeff Luo负责拟定方案。
韩会长呼吁大家继续积极参与并支持同乡总会的各项活动。
On Monday, March 3, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the Hubei Association Board of Directors held a meeting at Chabaodian (2245 Kennedy Rd, Unit 5). The meeting was chaired by President Han Minghui and attended by board members Han Minghui, Yang Shen, Wang Wei, Jeff Luo, Zhao Guiping, Han Li, Zhang Chunxia, Wang Jinghua, Chen Zhibing, Xu Yuanyuan, Luke Zhou, Zhang Kun, Connie Chen, and Scarlet.
The meeting began with self-introductions among the board members, who were encouraged to add each other on WeChat or by phone for easier communication. The meeting also welcomed the return of board member Zhang Kun.
Regarding event preparations, the board decided to hold a “Summer Barbecue” on June 7, 2025, at Jeff Luo’s estate. The event will be a potluck event, with an expected attendance of 200 to 300 people. The event will be enriched, and fundraising will be conducted through various sponsorship levels, raffles, and games.
The meeting also discussed plans to expand the board membership. President Han will contact former directors to return and establish connections with alumni associations of major Hubei universities. He will also encourage directors to recommend new members.
In addition, the meeting decided to host a Spring Festival Gala next year, with detailed preparations to begin after the summer events. A board-building event will also be organized in September of this year, with Yang Shen and Jeff Luo responsible for developing the plan.
President Han called on everyone to continue to actively participate in and support the various activities of the Association.
